Apartments of the future – Designed with care

A large portion of the building materials used in Ripple Residence are biogenic materials, and special efforts have been made to incorporate energy-efficient solutions throughout the entire construction process. Upcycling materials from the Bruun Rasmussen building, a wooden structure that sequesters CO2, and energy optimization with comfort cooling and geothermal heating aren’t necessarily the easiest or fastest solutions in construction, but they are the right ones. For us, for you, and for the future.

Our goal is to create homes that are not only beautiful, modern, and comfortable for you, but that are also designed with the environment in mind and contribute positively to promoting sustainable construction. For you, this means you get a home where extra effort has been made to choose the right solutions—solutions that are not only beneficial for you, but also for our shared future.

Behind the beautiful facades, conscious choices have been made to minimize environmental impact and reduce energy consumption. With its own solar panels, geothermal heating, comfort cooling, and biogenic materials, Ripple Residence has been thoughtfully designed. The project is DGNB-certified, and we are aiming for the highest level: DGNB Platinum. Here, you get not just a home, but a residence that strives to set a new standard for responsible construction.

Wood is a key resource in the green transition, and it is also one of the central themes of Ripple Residence. This is far from everything you can see at a glance, as most of the elements traditionally made of concrete have been replaced by wood.

Wood is not only an extremely strong building material, but it also has natural insulating properties and is biodegradable, so it does not contribute to long-term environmental pollution.

Wooden structures sequester CO2 and require significantly less energy compared to the production of concrete and steel. We have designed the structure of Ripple Residence so that it can be disassembled and reused if it ever needs to be demolished. In this way, the wood can be reused multiple times, ensuring that resources are utilized optimally and waste is minimized.

To reduce the need for new resources, we have chosen to reuse materials from the iconic Bruun Rasmussen building. This breathes new life into existing materials while adding history and character to Ripple Residence.

The terraces are paved with recycled hardwood decking boards of extra-heavy gauge and high quality.

Low energy consumption and high comfort with advanced energy technology

Ripple Residence is expected to receive an A2020 energy rating, which means the building meets the requirements for what is known as a low-energy building. For you, this means you’ll be living in a building with energy consumption below the standards set by building codes, and that you’ll enjoy a comfortable indoor climate all year round.

The reason the building is classified as low-energy is the advanced energy solutions integrated into its design. Ripple Residence has its own heating and cooling system.

The geothermal heating system efficiently harnesses the earth’s natural heat to warm the building, while the comfort cooling system ensures that your home is always at a comfortable temperature. To maximize energy efficiency, solar panels have been installed on the roof to supply the building with electricity.
